Major Injury Collision on Cabrillo Highway Sunday
Santa Cruz, CA (August 22, 2021) – At least one person suffered injuries following a motorcycle accident that occurred on State Route 1, also known as Cabrillo Highway, Sunday evening.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch, a motorbike with two riders was traveling in the streets of Santa Cruz. When the motorcycle approached the area near Soquel Avenue, it crashed for an unknown reason.
CHP logged the incident at approximately 6:31 p.m.

The collision resulted in serious injuries to a female rider. It remained unclear at this time of the woman was the driver, or the passenger. Responding paramedics rendered aid to the injured party, and likely transported her to a hospital for treatment and further evaluation.
Additional details on the crash have not been revealed thus far. At this time, investigators handling the case continue to work to determine the precise cause of the motorcycle accident in Santa Cruz.
