Pedestrian Badly Injured in Santa Cruz Crash at 41st Avenue and Portola Drive
SANTA CRUZ, CA (April 1, 2022) – A pedestrian was badly injured after a crash at 41st Avenue and Portola Drive in Santa Cruz.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident took place on Friday night. Officers reported the collision at about 8:22 p.m.
CHP said a vehicle struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason in Santa Cruz. The driver hit the person at the intersection of 41st Avenue and Portola Drive.
Victim Hit by Vehicle
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene in the Pleasure Point area. They found the victim who ended up suffering from moderate injuries as a result of the incident.
Medical personnel then took the patient to the Dominican Hospital for treatment. The report did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the driver stopped and stayed at the site after hitting the person. Officers forced the corner of 41st Avenue and Portola Drive to shut down following the collision.
The cause of the Santa Cruz pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
