Man, 66, Hit and Badly Injured by Vehicle on Ocean Street

September 5, 2018 – An elderly man was injured in a pedestrian accident Sunday evening on Ocean Street, according to a local news source.
The Santa Cruz Police Department said the 66-year-old man was struck by a yellow 2009 Mini Cooper in the 900 block of Ocean near Blaine Street.

When medical personnel arrived at the location, shortly after 8 p.m., they rendered aid to the elderly who appeared to be hurt. As per the article, the pedestrian was taken to a Bay Area trauma center, where he was listed in critical but stable condition.
Officials noted the Santa Cruz man driving the Mini Cooper stayed at the scene and cooperated with the police.
Further investigation on the case is ongoing.
