Man Killed in Santa Fe Springs Hit-and-Run Crash on Sorensen Avenue
SANTA FE SPRINGS, CA (July 9, 2021) – A hit-and-run crash killed a pedestrian on Sorensen Avenue in Santa Fe Springs.
According to an article published by the Whittier Daily News, the tragic accident occurred on Wednesday night. Officers reported the collision at about 10:34 p.m.
Police said the incident happened on July 7 when a vehicle struck a male pedestrian in Santa Fe Springs. The driver hit him for an unknown reason in the 8700 block of Sorensen Avenue.

Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and found the man in his 60s left lying in the roadway. He died as a result of the collision.
The name of the deceased victim has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin. Meanwhile, police affirmed that the motorist did not stop to render aid to the victim and fled the area.
Officers found the suspect and his SUV at Telegraph Road and Alburtis Avenue. They soon arrested him on suspicion of felony hit-and-run.
Authorities forced a portion of Sorensen Avenue to shut down following the collision. The fatal Santa Fe Springs hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
