Driver Trapped in Car after Truck Trailer Lands on Top of it on 605 Freeway
SANTA FE SPRINGS, Calif. (April 29, 2020) — A car was stuck underneath a semi-tractor trailer that detached from a truck Wednesday morning that was traveling on the Interstate 605 Freeway near Telegraph Road in Santa Fe Springs.
The California Highway Patrol reported the semi truck lost a trailer and it landed on top of a white Honda sedan in the slow lane about 10:53 a.m. on April 29th.
At least one person was trapped in the car after the collision, police said. The Downey Fire Department responded to extricate the driver and get them out of the car. The extent of injuries was not disclosed at this time.
The CHP is heading up the crash investigation.
