1 Seriously Injured in Santa Margarita Crash on Westbound Highway 58
SANTA MARGARITA, CA (June 11, 2021) – At least one was seriously injured after a car crash on Highway 58 in Santa Margarita.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the accident took place on Friday. Officers reported the wreck at about 5:52 p.m.
According to CHP, two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Santa Margarita. They crashed on westbound Highway 58, just east of Parkhill Road.
Children Involved in Collision Near Parkhill Road
The report log described the cars involved as a black Toyota 4Runner and a white Jeep. The Toyota 4Runner rolled onto its side upon impact.
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon responded to the scene and found two children involved in the crash. One person ended up major injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel took the wounded party to a hospital for treatment. Officials did not disclose the name of the patient and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP forced the westbound lanes of Highway 58 to close following the wreck. Authorities are still determining the cause of the Santa Margarita crash.
