The accident happened at around 12:15 p.m.
Preliminary report stated that a SUV, driven by 46-year-old Pedro Pacheco, was traveling westbound on Newlove and headed to Broadway when it suddenly ran against a red light.
The event caused the SUV to crash into the passenger side of a car driving through the intersection.
The force from the impact sent the SUV to flip and landed on its roof, as seen on the image of the article.
Two men were primarily injured from the collision. A responding paramedic team responded and transported both men to a nearby medical facility for treatment of their minor trauma.
Meanwhile, Pacheco was not hurt from the smash.
The KEYT News published that Pacheco was arrested on felony driving under the influence. Cans of beer were found on the ground of the crash site and beneath Pacheco’s vehicle.
