Driver Severely Injured in Santa Maria Crash at Black Road and Highway 166
SANTA MARIA (April 13, 2019) – One was severely injured after a traffic collision in the area of Black Road and Highway 166 Thursday afternoon.
The accident took place at around 12:30 p.m. between Santa Maria and Guadalupe. Highway 166 is also known as Main Street.
California Highway Patrol said the incident began when a blue Toyota sedan turned left in front of a white pickup truck which was headed west at the time.

Several vehicles reportedly collided at the intersection of Black Road and Highway 166. The sedan sustained major damage as a result of the crash.
Fire department officials along with the paramedics responded to the scene and found the male driver of the Toyota suffering from life-threatening injuries upon impact.
The patient was then airlifted to the hospital for further medical aid. His name and condition at this time were not immediately available.
Meanwhile, the driver of the pickup was unharmed in the wreck. Authorities are still investigating the cause of the incident.
