3 Injured in Santa Maria Crash at Donovan Road and McClelland Street
SANTA MARIA, CA (May 22, 2022) – Several were hospitalized after a car crash at Donovan Road and McClelland Street in Santa Maria.
According to the Noozhawk and KSBY News, the accident took place on Sunday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at about 1:45 p.m.
The Santa Maria Fire Department said at least two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in the city. The cars crashed at the intersection of Donovan Road and North McClelland Street.
2 Cars Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene, east of North Broadway. Crews then freed the trapped occupants from the wreckage.
A total of three people ended up hurt as a result of the collision. Medical personnel soon took the patients to the Marian Regional Medical Center for treatment of unspecified injuries.
The reports did not disclose the names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, officers forced the area of Donovan and McClelland Street to shut down following the wreck.
The cause of the Santa Maria crash is still under investigation.
