SANTA MARIA, California (March 27, 2016) – A child was seriously injured after being struck by a hit-and-run driver on West Morrison Avenue on Saturday afternoon, according to KEYT.
As per the article, police said the 5-year-old boy was riding his scooter when he was hit by a vehicle just before 3 p.m.
The young victim was airlifted to Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara with injuries described as major. However, he is expected to be okay.
Meanwhile according to the police, officers responded and found a pick up truck driven through the complex fleeing the scene, going south on South Oakley Street.
