3-Vehicle Crash on Highway 101 in Santa Maria
SANTA MARIA, Calif. (August 16, 2022) — At least two people were injured in a Santa Maria crash on the northbound Highway 101 at the Santa Maria River bridge near Highway 166.
The multi-vehicle crash involving a white pickup and two other motorists occurred about 6:16 a.m. on August 16th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials report the two people were trapped in one of the involved vehicles following the collision.
The Santa Maria Police Department and firefighters responded to the scene and helped those people out of the vehicle. They also requested two ambulances responded to transport those injured in the Santa Maria crash.
The vehicles blocked the Nos. 1 and 2 lanes of the highway. Tow trucks responded to remove all three vehicles from the roadway.
Investigators are working on the case and will determine fault for the Santa Maria crash.
