Motorcyclist Killed in Santa Maria Crash on Highway 1 Near Brown Road
SANTA MARIA, CA (October 8, 2021) – A motorcyclist was killed after a crash near Highway 1 and Brown Road in Santa Maria.
According to The Santa Maria Times and KSBY News, the tragic accident took place on Friday morning. Officers reported the wreck at about 8:30 a.m.
The Santa Barbara County Fire Department said the motorcycle rider and three vehicles collided for an unknown reason west of Santa Maria.
Motorcycle and Vehicles Collide
All four of them crashed on Highway 1 near Brown Road. Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and confirmed that the motorcyclist died as a result of the collision.
At least two other people ended up hurt upon impact. Medical personnel soon provided treatment to the patients for the minor injuries they sustained in the incident.
The names of the deceased and wounded parties remain unreleased. Meanwhile, officials forced a stretch of Highway 1 to shut down near Brown Road for several hours following the wreck.
The cause of the fatal Santa Maria crash is still under investigation.
