Major Injury Car Accident on Mahoney Road
SANTA MARIA, Calif. (June 1, 2023) — Two people were injured in a head-on crash in Santa Maria Thursday on Mahoney Road, roughly half a mile south of Betteravia Road.
The multi-vehicle collision occurred around 1:02 p.m. on June 1st in front of 2605 Mahoney Road, just north of Black Road, according to a California Highway Patrol report.
The drivers involved included a white Toyota Camry sedan, a silver Toyota Prius and a third vehicle. The two Toyota vehicles crashed head-on due to unknown circumstances. One of the vehicles overturned in the crash.
Meanwhile, paramedics responded and located at least one person with major injuries as well as a second person with undisclosed injuries.
The Santa Maria Police Department was on the scene to investigate the cause of the crash and liability. They closed down Mahoney Road at Black Road and Rayville Lane.
