1 Injured in Santa Maria Hit-and-Run Crash on East Stowell Road
SANTA MARIA, CA (July 8, 2021) – At least one was injured after a hit-and-run crash on Stowell Road in Santa Maria.
The California Highway Patrol received a call about the accident on Thursday afternoon. According to their dispatch team, officers reported the wreck shortly before 3 p.m.
CHP said a red sedan and a gold Ford truck collided for an unknown reason in Santa Maria. The two crashed at 1910 East Stowell Road near Rosemary Road.
2 Cars Collide
The incident log added that one car came to a rest near a canal while the other vehicle obtained a broken axle. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene in front of the OSR Enterprises Inc.
Medical personnel found one person who ended up hurt as a result of the collision. They then provided treatment to the victim for the head injury they sustained in the wreck.
Officials did not release the name of the wounded patient and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that a driver involved did not stop to render aid and fled the area.
Officers forced a stretch of Stowell Road to shut down following the wreck. The cause of the Santa Maria hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
