SANTA MARIA, California (May 20, 2016) — At least one person was airlifted to a hospital from the scene of a crash between a car and a semi-tractor trailer truck on Highway 166 at Cable Corral Road, a California Highway Patrol report said.
The crash took place about 11:05 a.m. this morning between the truck and a silver car. The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene to help those involved and called for a helicopter to transport the injured. the big rig truck had front-end damage following the crash and required towing from the scene. It was loaded with produce and its left front tire was gone.
Police are investigating the crash to determine liability.
