Motorcyclist Injured in Car Crash on Highway 101

SANTA MARIA, Calif. (Oct. 23, 2023) — A car and motorcycle were involved in an accident on Highway 101, just south of the Broadway Street off ramp in Santa Maria.

It happened in the northbound lanes of Highway 101 at around 6:49 a.m. on Oct. 23rd, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The white Honda Accord and a maroon Harley Davidson motorcycle collided and the rider went down in the No. 2 lane of the highway, the report said.

The Santa Maria Police Department and CHP officers responded to the scene to help those involved. Paramedics were also at the scene to help the injured rider, but there are no further details at this time.

A tow truck removed the car and another one removed the bike from the scene.

Investigators are working to determine fault for the motorcycle accident on Highway 101 in Santa Maria.
