Major Injury Collision Near Donovan Road Offramp
Santa Maria, CA (May 28, 2022) – At least one person suffered injuries following a traffic crash that occurred on Highway 101 Friday.
The California Highway Patrol group reported a man riding a motorcycle collided with a blue Mazda sedan in the southbound side of SR-101. Officials mentioned the accident took place in the area near Donovan Road offramp.
CHP logged the case at about 6:09 p.m.
When rescue teams arrived at the location, they found the motorbike and the blue sedan both disabled in the number one lane of the highway. Authorities added a gray Honda Accord also struck the motorcycle following the initial crash.

Medical personnel checked the conditions of all parties involved in the wreck. After the evaluation, paramedics confirmed one person sustained major injuries as a result of the wreck. The name of the victim, and their condition at this time have not been revealed thus far.
Detectives stayed at the scene the whole evening. They continue to investigate the precise cause of the traffic accident on Highway 101 in Santa Maria.
