
2 Critically Injured in Santa Maria Crash on Highway 101 and Donovan Road
SANTA MARIA, CA (February 5, 2023) – A crash critically injured two people on Highway 101 and Donovan Road in Santa Maria.
According to the Noozhawk and KSBY News, the accident took place on Sunday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck on February 5 at about 4:40 p.m.
The incident happened when a motorcycle and a car collided for an unknown reason in the city. The California Highway Patrol said the two crashed on northbound Highway 101 at the Donovan Road exit ramp.

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found two people hurt. Both patients sustained life-threatening injuries as a result of the collision.
An air ambulance then flew one victim to the Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital. A ground ambulance rushed the other individual for treatment.
The names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time were not disclosed. Meanwhile, CHP forced the northbound lanes of Highway 101 to shut down near Donovan following the wreck.
The cause of the Santa Maria crash is still under investigation.
