Semi-Truck in Ditch Following Collision on State Route 166
SANTA MARIA, Calif. (July 23, 2024) — A three-vehicle car accident happened Tuesday afternoon on State Route 166, near Black Road in Santa Maria, Santa Barbara County, Calif.
The traffic accident occurred at around 12:05 PM on Tuesday July 23rd 2024, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A white Toyota Tundra, green semi truck with a white box trailer, and an unknown vehicle are were involved in a crash on State Route 166. The aftermath of the crash left a large traffic hazard in one of the lanes of the highway. The traffic collision happened on the eastbound side of the highway. The semi-truck ran into a ditch on the westbound side of the highway, but then was reported to be on the right side of the highway soon after.
Paramedics were requested on the scene and located those with injuries. They transported those hurt to a nearby hospital for treatment of unknown injuries at this time.
Investigators are working to determine who is at fault for the car accident in Santa Maria California on State Route 166.
