Pedestrian Injured Santa Maria Crash at Newlove Drive and Highway 135
SANTA MARIA (January 4, 2019) – A pedestrian was hospitalized after a traffic accident in the area of Newlove Drive and Broadway on Friday evening, according to KSBY.
The collision took place at around 6:20 p.m., in front of McDonald’s.
As per the article, police said a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle for an unknown reason at the intersection of East Newlove Drive and South Broadway. South Broadway is also known as Highway 135.

Fire department officials along with the paramedics responded to the scene and attended to the pedestrian who was hurt upon impact.
The patient was then transported to the hospital to be treated for unspecified injuries. The name and condition of the victim at this time remained unknown, but officers affirmed that the person is expected to survive.
Meanwhile, the driver of the car involved stopped after the crash and cooperated with the authorities. The cause of the incident is still under investigation.
