Pedestrian Injured in Santa Maria Crash Near Donovan Road and Western Avenue
SANTA MARIA, CA (March 18, 2022) – A pedestrian was hospitalized after a crash near Donovan Road and Western Avenue in Santa Maria.
According to an article published by the Santa Maria Times, the accident took place on Friday morning. Officers reported the collision shortly after 8 a.m.
Santa Maria police said a vehicle struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason in the city. The driver hit the person near the intersection of Donovan Road and Western Avenue.
Victim Hit by Vehicle
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found the victim who ended up hurt as a result of the incident
Medical personnel then took the victim to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries. The report did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, police did not mention if the motorist stopped or stayed at the site after hitting the person. Officers forced the area of Donovan and Western to shut down following the collision.
The cause of the Santa Maria pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
