1 Killed in Santa Monica Crash on Eastbound 10 Freeway
SANTA MONICA, CA (May 5, 2021) – A car crash on the 10 Freeway killed at least one person in Santa Monica.
According to an article published by My News LA, the tragic accident occurred late Wednesday night. Officers reported the wreck at about 10 p.m.
The California Highway Patrol said six vehicles collided for an unknown in Santa Monica. They crashed in the eastbound lanes of the 10 Freeway near Centinela Avenue.

Firefighters along with the paramedics then responded to the scene and rescued at least one trapped occupant from the wreckage.
CHP confirmed that one individual died as a result of the collision. The name of the deceased victim has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if any other party ended up hurt following the wreck. Officials forced all eastbound lanes of the freeway, west of Centinela, to shut down after the collision.
The cause of the fatal Santa Monica crash is still under investigation.
