
Pedestrian Injured in Santa Monica Hit-and-run Crash
SANTA MONICA, Calif. (July 30, 2024) – A man in his 20s was hospitalized Tuesday after being struck by a hit-and-run motorist on Pacific Coast Highway in Santa Monica.
The traffic accident occurred at around 12 a.m. on July 30th, according to the Santa Monica Police Department.
Police officers responded to the 1200 block of Pacific Coast Highway after someone called 911 to report a hit-and-run crash involving a pedestrian and a car, police said.
The Santa Monica Police Department later arrested the driver after he or she returned to the scene.
Meanwhile, the pedestrian was transported by ambulance to a hospital and remains in stable condition.
Investigators are working on the case and will determine if drugs and/or alcohol were contributing factors in the crash.
