SANTA MONICA, California (March 7, 2017) – A pedestrian was critically injured in an alleged hit-and-run collision on Neilson Way early Sunday, according to KTLA.
The accident took place about 1:20 a.m.
As per the article, Santa Monica police said the male pedestrian was found lying in the street after being struck by a vehicle. He was left unresponsive with significant head trauma.
The victim was then immediately transported to a local hospital where he was listed in critical condition. His name has not been yet released.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the driver involved did not stop to render aid and fled the scene. The suspect car was described as a silver, 4-door, possible 2012-2016 Toyota Camry which possibly sustained substantial front-end damage to the driver’s side.
