Cyclist Killed in Collision Near Palm Avenue
Santa Paula, CA (May 26, 2023) – The California Highway Patrol group reported a deadly traffic crash that occurred on State Route Highway 126 May 26, Friday.
Our sources indicated a vehicle struck an individual riding a bicycle in the westbound side of SR-126. The horrible collision took place just east of Palm Avenue in Santa Paula.
CHP logged the case around 8:18 p.m.
Fatal Bicycle Accident on SR-126 in Santa Paula
When rescue teams arrived at the location, they found a silver Dodge Charger stopped along the highway. Responding paramedics immediately rendered aid to the bicyclist suffering in injuries. Despite life-saving efforts performed by paramedics, the victim sadly succumbed to their injuries and eventually passed away. Authorities continue to withhold the identity of the deceased pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
At this time, detectives continue to investigate exactly how and why the deadly accident happened on State Route 126 in Santa Paula.
