Bicycle Rider Badly Injured in Crash at Todd Road and Santa Rosa Avenue
SANTA ROSA, CA (January 21, 2022) – A bicycle rider was badly injured after a crash at Todd Road and Santa Rosa Avenue in Santa Rosa.
The California Highway Patrol said the accident took place on Saturday night. According to their dispatch, officers reported the collision at about 8:45 p.m.
The incident happened when a vehicle struck the bicycle rider for an unknown reason. The driver hit the bicyclist at the intersection of East Todd Road and Santa Rosa Avenue.
Bicyclist Hit by Vehicle
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near Highway 101. They found the victim who sustained moderate injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the patient to the Providence Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital for treatment. The report did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the motorist stopped and stayed at the site after hitting the cyclist. Officers forced the area of Todd and Santa Rosa to shut down following the bicycle incident.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
