Child, Adult Injured in Collision Near Los Alamos Road
Santa Rosa, CA (May 16, 2023) – Two people suffered injuries following a traffic accident that occurred on State Route Highway 12 Saturday evening, May 13.
The Press Democrat News reported an Acura Integra collided withe a GMC pickup truck at the intersection of Sonoma Highway and Los Alamos Road. Preliminary investigation revealed the GMC was heading east on SR-12 when the driver pulled into the northbound Los Alamos. Officials said the crash happened when a GMC entered the crossing at the same time and hit the driver’s side of the sedan.
Major Car Accident in Santa Rosa
Shortly after 7:40 p.m., Santa Rosa firefighters and police officers responded to the incident. Rescue teams reportedly extricated a child from the passenger’ side of the mangled Acura. According to the article published online, the juvenile sustained minor injuries while the adult driver suffered critical trauma to his head. Paramedics rushed the two victims to the local hospital for treatment and further evaluation.
Medical personnel also checked the conditions of the three occupants in the GMC, then released them.
At this time, detectives continue to determined which driver had the right of way when the collision happened. Further investigation is ongoing on the crash that happened on Highway 12 in Santa Rosa.
