Santa Rosa Crash at Mark West Springs Road and Riebli Road

SONOMA COUNTY, Calif. (Jan. 7, 2026) — A two-vehicle collision involving major damage happened Wednesday morning in Santa Rosa at Mark West Springs Road and Riebli Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The crash was reported shortly after 7:27 a.m. and involved a silver Nissan Titan and a white Ford F-250 work truck. CHP logs indicate the vehicles were involved in a frontal collision, resulting in major front-end damage to both.

Authorities reported that one male occupant exited a vehicle and was found lying on the ground following the crash. Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene, and at least one vehicle was reported on fire, with westbound lanes of Mark West Springs Road blocked as crews worked to control the situation.

Due to the severity of the collision, the incident was upgraded from a traffic collision with unknown injuries to one involving injuries. Two tow trucks were requested to remove the damaged vehicles from the roadway.

The extent of injuries has not been confirmed, and it was not immediately known whether any individuals were transported to a hospital.

The cause of the collision remains under investigation. Motorists were advised to avoid the area and expect delays while emergency crews cleared the scene.
