1 Killed, 1 Seriously Injured in Santa Rosa Crash on Corporate Center Parkway
SANTA ROSA, CA (November 13, 2021) – A fatal DUI crash occurred near Corporate Center Parkway and Challenger Way in Santa Rosa.
The incident happened on November 12 when a red Jeep was traveling south in the northbound lanes of Corporate Center Parkway in Santa Rosa. At the same time, a white Ford SUV was going north.
Police said the Jeep then slammed head-on into the Ford near Challenger Way.
2 Cars Collide Head-On
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and pronounced the 51-year-old Santa Rosa man driving the wrong-way dead at the scene.
The driver of the SUV, a 37-year-old Santa Rosa woman, sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision. Medical personnel soon rushed her to a hospital and listed in serious but stable condition.
The names of the deceased and wounded parties have not been yet released. Meanwhile, witnesses claimed that they saw the man drinking alcohol in the parking lot of a convenience store prior to the wreck.
Officers forced the area of Corporate Center and Challenger to shut down for hours following the collision. The fatal Santa Rosa crash is still under investigation.
