Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Santa Rosa Crash on Highway 101 Near Corby
SANTA ROSA, CA (October 6, 2022) – A crash seriously injured a motorcyclist on Highway 101 near Corby Avenue in Santa Rosa.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident took place on Thursday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at about 3:27 p.m.
CHP said the motorcycle rider and another vehicle collided for an unknown reason in Santa Rosa. The two crashed on southbound Highway 101 near the Corby Avenue off-ramp.
Motorcycle and Vehicle Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found the motorcyclist down on the ground as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then rushed the patient to a hospital for treatment of major injuries. The name of the wounded party and their condition at this time were not released.
Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the other driver ended up hurt or if they stopped following the incident. The cause of the Santa Rosa crash is still under investigation.
Officers forced the Corby Avenue off-ramp to southbound Highway 101 to shut down after the wreck.
