2-Vehicle Accident Involving Scooter or Motorcycle on Highway 12

 Santa Rosa Motorcycle Crash Highway 12, Near Highway 101SANTA ROSA, Calif. (July 1, 2021) —  A Santa Rosa motorcycle crash on Highway 12 Thursday morning leaving the rider with major injuries.

The crash happened about 3:35 a.m. on July 1st on the eastbound Highway 12, just east of Highway 101, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The drivers of the Vespa-type scooter and a white Nissan pickup truck collided due to unknown circumstances.

The CHP requested an ambulances due to reports of major injuries. Paramedics transported the injured to a local hospital.

Vehicles blocked the slow lane near the highway transition ramp.

Tow trucks removed the scooter or bike from the Santa Rosa motorcycle crash site.

Meanwhile, investigators seek to determine the cause of the crash and liability. The CHP report did not indicate if alcohol and or drugs could be a factor in the collision.
