SANTA ROSA: Motorcyclist, Caltrans Vehicle Crash 101 Freeway at Mendocino Ave

Santa Rosa accidentSANTA ROSA, California (June 22, 2017) — A motorcyclist collided Thursday morning with a Caltrans vehicle on the northbound Interstate 101 Freeway at Mendocino Avenue on ramp, a California Highway Patrol report said.

The crash took place about 11:46 a.m. this morning. The motorcycles allegedly ran into the Caltrans (California Department of Transportation) vehicle and the rider was thrown from the bike into the center divider and the bike was in the No. 1 lane.

Paramedics responded to the scene to help the rider who suffered a leg injury.

The cause of the crash is under investigation to determine liability.
