1 Seriously Injured in Santa Ysabel Crash at East Grade Road and Highway 76
SAN DIEGO COUNTY, CA (April 25, 2021) – A head-on crash seriously injured at least one person at Grade Road and Highway 76 near Santa Ysabel.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the accident on Sunday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at about 2:22 p.m.
According to CHP, a vehicle and a motorcycle rider collided head-on for an unknown reason. The two crashed at the intersection of East Grade Road and Highway 76 near Santa Ysabel.
Motorcycle and Vehicle Collide Head-On
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon responded to the scene near the Lake Henshaw. They found one individual who sustained major injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the wounded party to a hospital for treatment. The name of the patient and their condition at this time were not disclosed.
Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the victim was the motorcyclist or an occupant of the other vehicle involved. Officials forced Grade Road and Highway 76 to close following the wreck.
Authorities are still investigating the cause of the crash.
