Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Santee Crash on Eastbound State Route 52
SANTEE, CA (November 18, 2021) – A motorcyclist was seriously injured after a crash on State Route 52 in Santee.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the accident took place on Thursday evening. Officers reported the wreck at about 6:47 p.m.
According to CHP, the motorcycle rider and a white Tesla collided for an unknown reason in Santee. The two crashed on eastbound side of State Route 52.
Motorcycle and Tesla Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the North Fortuna Mountain Summit. They found the motorcyclist who ended up suffering from major injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the patient to a hospital for treatment of a possible broken leg. The report did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the driver of the Tesla ended up hurt or if they stopped following the wreck. Officers forced the eastbound lanes of State Route 52 to shut down after the collision.
The cause of the Santee crash is still under investigation.
