Santos Torres, 44, Injured in Lancaster Big Rig Crash on Avenue G
LANCASTER, CA (June 4, 2021) – Santos Torres was injured after a big rig crash on Avenue G in Lancaster.
The California Highway Patrol identified the 44-year-old Corona man as the victim of the fatal wreck which occurred on Friday morning.
The incident happened when Santos D. Torres was operating a 2017 Peterbilt truck east on Avenue G in Lancaster. At the same time, a 2019 Dodge Challenger was traveling west in the eastbound lane.
CHP said the Dodge then slammed head-on into the big rig, west of 30th Street East. The Antelope Valley Times and KTLA News wrote that the accident took place at around 9:09 a.m.

Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and treated Santos Torres for the minor injuries he sustained in the crash. The 62-year-old Lancaster woman driving the Challenger died at the scene.
The front passenger of the car, a 59-year-old Lancaster woman, died at the Holy Cross Hospital. Medical personnel rushed the three children riding the Dodge to the Antelope Valley Hospital.
Two of the juveniles, a 9-year-old boy and a 6-year-old boy, later succumbed to their injuries. The third young patient, a 5-year-old boy, sustained major traumatic injuries.
