Vehicle Strikes, Kills Pedestrian Near 17th Street
Tustin, CA (May 21, 2022) – Sarah De La Riva, a 33-year-old woman, died following a pedestrian accident that occurred on Interstate 55, also known as Costa Mesa Freeway.
The Orange County Register News reported a vehicle struck a female party on the freeway near 17th Street. According to the article published online, the collision took place at about 1:10 a.m.

When rescue teams arrived at the location, they found a woman lying on the ground. Responding paramedics attended and performed life-saving measures to the victims. Sadly, the pedestrian succumbed to her injuries and died. Authorities identified the fatal victim as Sarah De La Riva.
Meanwhile, the driver of the 2006 Chevrolet Silverado pickup appeared unharmed after the incident.
Detectives handling the case continue to investigate several unclear factors surrounding the deadly accident on Costa Mesa (55) Freeway in Tustin.
