1 Killed, 1 Injured in Saratoga Pedestrian Crash on Montalvo Road
SARATOGA, CA (October 11, 2022) – A crash killed a pedestrian and injured another on Montalvo Road in Saratoga.
According to The Mercury News and CBS San Francisco, the tragic accident took place on Tuesday morning. Officers reported the collision at around 10:30 a.m.
The incident began when a woman in her 40s and another pedestrian were gathering belongings from their parked vehicles on a road in Saratoga.
The sheriff’s office said a driver tried to park in the area. In the process, the motorist struck the victims in the 15000 block of Montalvo Road near Hill Avenue.
Victims Hit by Vehicle
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and soon pronounced the woman dead at the scene. The other victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then rushed the patient to a hospital for treatment. The names of the deceased and wounded parties have not been yet released.
Meanwhile, deputies added that the driver stopped and stayed at the site following the accident. Officers forced a stretch of Montalvo Road to shut down for a time after the incident.
