3 Injured in Saugus Crash on San Francisquito Canyon Road
SANTA CLARITA, CA (March 6, 2023) – Several were injured after a crash on San Francisquito Canyon Road in the Saugus neighborhood.
According to an article published by The Signal, the accident took place on Monday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck on March 6 at about 4:36 p.m.
The incident began when one vehicle drifted over the double lines for an unknown reason on San Francisquito Canyon Road in Saugus. In the process, the car slammed into two other vehicles.
The California Highway Patrol said the cars crashed north of Quail Trail and the Santa Clarita Valley Equestrian Center.
Multiple Vehicles Collide
Firefighters soon arrived at the scene and found a total of three people hurt. One of them, the driver who caused the collision, sustained major injuries upon impact.
Paramedics rushed the patient to a hospital for treatment. Medical personnel at the site provided aid to the other two motorists who obtained minor injuries as a result of the incident.
The report did not disclose the names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP forced a stretch of San Francisquito Canyon Road to shut down following the wreck.
The cause of the Saugus crash is still under investigation.
