Schwan Taylorcand Clarence Taylor Victims in Modesto Car Accident
MODESTO (December 23, 2018) – Three were killed and one was injured after an alleged wrong-way crash on Highway 99 early Saturday, December 22, according to The Modesto Bee and KCRA.
Two of the victims, one of them was hurt, have been identified as 40-year-old Empire resident Schwan Taylor and his passenger, 69-year-old Modesto resident Clarence Taylor.
The wounded party was taken to the hospital as a precaution. The wreck was reported at 12:34 a.m., just north of Pelandale Avenue.
As per the reports, California Highway Patrol said a driver of a 2004 GMC Yukon was traveling north in the southbound lanes of Highway 99 when they side-swiped a 1997 Toyota driven by Schwan Taylor.

The Yukon then struck a 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe head-on, causing both vehicles to become engulfed in flames.
Two people riding the Chevrolet, a child and an adult, were pronounced dead at the scene. The motorist driving in the wrong direction also died upon impact.
The names of the deceased have not been yet released pending notification of next of kin. Meanwhile, the southbound lanes of Highway 99 at Pelandale Avenue were forced to shut down for about four hours.
The incident remains under investigation.
