FRESNO, California (August 3, 2016) – A scooter rider was seriously injured in a hit-and-run crash at North Van Ness and East Nevada avenues early Wednesday morning, according to ABC 30.
The accident took place around 1 a.m.
As per the article, police said the man was riding a scooter when he was struck by a vehicle at the intersection. The driver was apparently attempting to make a u-turn when the collision occurred.
The victim was immediately transported to the hospital with major head injuries. His name and condition at this time remained unknown.
Meanwhile, the motorist involved did not stop to render aid and fled the scene. Police described the suspect car as a Lincoln.
Authorities will continue to locate the hit-and-run driver and justice will soon be served.
