The incident happened when Scott Elwyn Baker was driving a Mercedes E280 on Alameda Del Prado in the Ignacio area of Novato.
Police said he then struck the rear of a Honda Civic north of Posada Del Sol. The Marin Independent Journal wrote that the collision occurred on August 9 at about 8:15 a.m.
