Man, 66, Killed in Crash on I-405 Freeway in Westwood
WESTWOOD, Calif. (April 14, 2022) – Scott Laughlin, 66, of Long Beach, died in a Westwood pedestrian accident on the Interstate 405 Freeway Monday night that involved a hit-and-run driver.
The deadly crash happened about 10:30 p.m. on April 11th, ABC7 News reported.
The Long Beach man was reportedly walking on the shoulder of the freeway near Santa Monica Boulevard. An oncoming vehicle struck the pedestrian due to unknown circumstances.
Pedestrian Accident on 405 Freeway
Medical crews responded and located the man lying on the ground. Paramedics provided life-saving measures to Scott Laughlin, but he died at the scene.
Meanwhile, police officers report the driver in a white Toyota sedan fled the scene.
Investigators are working on the case and will determine fault for the pedestrian accident on the Interstate 405 Freeway in Westwood.
