2-Vehicle Collision on State Route 17 in Santa Cruz County
SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, Calif. (June 7, 2024) — A major injury crash on Highway 17 happened Friday morning, just north of the Mount Hermon Road off ramp in Scotts Valley.
The two-vehicle collision occurred on the northbound State Route 17 at around 5:28 a.m. on June 7th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A driver was rear-ended by another motorist on the highway due to unknown circumstances.
Paramedics responded and rushed at least one person to a hospital with major injuries.
Meanwhile, tow trucks removed the damaged vehicles from Highway 17 after the crash in Scotts Valley.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the accident.
