1 Injured in Scotts Valley Hit-and-Run Crash on Highway 17 at Mt Hermon Road
SCOTTS VALLEY, CA (September 3, 2021) – A hit-and-run crash injured at least one person on Highway 17 and Mt Hermon Road in Scotts Valley.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident occurred on Friday night. Officers reported the wreck at about 9:12 p.m.
CHP said a black 4-door sedan and another vehicle collided for an unknown reason in Scotts Valley. The two crashed on northbound Highway 17 at Mt Hermon Road.
2 Vehicles Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near El Rancho Drive. They found an occupant of the sedan hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel provided treatment to the patient for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the incident. Officials did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the other driver did not stop to help and then fled the area. They described the car as a silver Hatchback.
Officers forced the northbound lanes of Highway 17 near Mt Hermon to shut down following the wreck. The cause of the Scotts Valley hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
