2-Vehicle Collision on 22 Freeway in Seal Beach

SEAL BEACH, Calif. (Dec. 14, 2023) — A two-vehicle car accident in Seal Beach happened Thursday morning on the westbound Garden Grove 22 Freeway in Orange County.

The collision occurred at around 10:05 a.m. on Dec. 14th at the transition to the northbound Interstate 405 Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP officials reported a driver in a red 2015 Honda Civic and a black, 4-door Toyota Corolla were involved in the accident.

The Orange County Fire Authority responded and fire trucks were blocking the Nos. 1 and 2 lanes after they stopped to help those injured. The vehicles were pulled over into the center divider of the freeway.

It’s unknown at this time what led up to the Seal Beach car accident.

A tow truck removed the Toyota from the freeway due to damage.

Investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the accident.
