2 Killed, 1 Seriously Injured in Seal Beach DUI Crash on 405 Freeway
SEAL BEACH, CA (November 14, 2021) – Two were killed after a DUI crash on the 405 Freeway in Seal Beach.
According to the Orange County Register and My News LA, the tragic accident took place late Saturday night. Officers reported the wreck at about 11:52 p.m.
The incident began when a 2014 Volkswagen was traveling at a high rate of speed south on the 405 Freeway in Seal Beach. In the process, the car slammed into a 2000 Honda.
The California Highway Patrol said the two vehicles crashed on November 13 near Seal Beach Boulevard. The Honda then become fully engulfed in flames due to the impact of the collision.
2 Cars Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and pronounced the two occupants of the burning car dead at the scene. The driver of the Volkswagen sustained major injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel took the patient to the UCI Medical Center for treatment. The names of the deceased and wounded parties have not been yet released.
Meanwhile, CHP believed that the speeding motorist was under the influence when he struck the victims. They soon arrested the suspect.
Officers forced the southbound lanes of the 405 Freeway to shut down for hours following the wreck. The fatal Seal Beach crash is still under investigation.
