Motorcyclist Killed in Crash on 405 Freeway Near Seal Beach Boulevard
SEAL BEACH, CA (December 16, 2021) – A crash killed a motorcyclist on the 405 Freeway in Seal Beach.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the tragic accident took place on Thursday afternoon. Officers reported the collision at about 3:41 p.m.
CHP said four vehicles, including a motorcycle, collided for an unknown reason. They crashed on the northbound 405 Freeway, just north of Seal Beach Boulevard.
Motorcycle and Cars Collide
The incident log described two of the cars involved as a white Subaru and a gray Ford Bronco. Firefighters along with the paramedics then arrived at the scene.
They found the motorcyclist down on the ground as a result of the collision. Medical personnel soon pronounced the rider dead.
The name of the deceased party has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin. Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the drivers of the cars ended up hurt or if they stopped following the wreck.
Officers forced the northbound lanes of the 405 Freeway to shut down after the incident. The cause of the fatal Seal Beach crash is still under investigation.
