Officer Hospitalized After Collision at Pacific Coast Highway and Seal Beach Boulevard
Seal Beach, CA (May 15, 2023) – A Seal Beach police officer suffered injuries following a traffic that occurred in the area of Pacific Coast Highway and Seal Beach Boulevard.
According to My News LA, and Long Beach Post News, the deputy had their lights and sirens on and responding to a call in Seal Beach. Earlier reports indicated the patrol vehicle entered the intersection at about the same time as another car.
The two motorists crashed into each other resulting in significant damage to both vehicles. Officials said the accident took place Friday afternoon, May 12.
Major Traffic Accident in Seal Beach
Shortly after 12:16 p.m., Orange County Fire Authority personnel arrived at the location. Responding paramedics attended to both drivers involved in the collision. After the evaluation, medical personnel decided to transfer the injured officer to a local hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries. Authorities added the other driver suffered minor injuries and received medical aid at the scene.
The precise cause of the traffic accident remained unclear. Given that, the Cypress Police Department continue to investigate exactly how and why the crash happened at Pacific Coast Highway and Seal Beach Boulevard in Seal Beach.
