Reporter Sean Belk, 36, Killed in Long Beach Head-On Crash
LONG BEACH (January 12, 2019) – A reporter was killed after a traffic collision in the area of Broadway Street and Obispo Avenue Friday night, according to The Orange County Register and Long Beach Post.
The victim has been identified as 36-year-old Sean Belk. He was a reporter of the Beachcomber.
As per the reports, police said Belk was driving a Kia Soul when for an unknown reason he collided head-on with a Cox Cable Company working truck near the intersection of Broadway Street and Obispo Avenue.

The accident was reported on January 11 shortly after 8:30 p.m. in the Bluff Heights neighborhood.
Police affirmed that Belk was immediately transported to Long Beach Memorial Hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Meanwhile, officials added that the driver of the other vehicle involved stopped after the crash and cooperated with the authorities. The motorist reportedly had a valid license at the time.
