SELMA (FRESNO COUNTY), California (May 20, 2014) — Minor injuries were reported Tuesday morning after a crash between the drivers of a green Volkswagen Beetle and a big rig truck on E. Mountain View Avenue just south of Academy Avenue, according to a dispatch by the California Highway Patrol.
About 9:41 a.m., CHP officers responded with paramedics to the location of the crash and found the big rig overturned in a nearby vineyard. The truck, which was hauling fruit, had somehow collided with the sedan and came to rest on its side.
Multiple vehicles pulled over to assist those involved in the crash, the report said. At least one person suffered minor injuries and paramedics responded to assist them and possibly transport them to a nearby hospital.
Action Towing, Fresno, and RES Recovery and Towing Inc., Kingsburg, removed the two vehicles from the scene of the crash.
The California Highway Patrol is investigating the Fresno truck accident to determine liability for the incident.
